Restaurant Review: A Hidden Gem for BBQ Lovers Don’t let the roadside location and no-frills setup fool you—this spot serves up some of the best barbecue on the island. The chicken is outstanding, packed with smoky flavor and cooked to perfection. But it doesn’t stop there—the pulled pork, brisket, and ribs are just as impressive. The barbecue sauce complements the meats beautifully, and even the sides shine. The mac and cheese was a pleasant surprise, rich and creamy, while the corn had a depth of flavor you wouldn’t expect from a simple side. We also picked up a Sovereign dry-fit t-shirt, a purchase I’ll wear with pride. Just a heads-up: they don’t do substitutions, so if you want to try the mac and cheese, order it on the side. The combination plate was more than enough for my wife, daughter, and me. This is an absolute must-stop if you’re in the area—but go early. They sell out fast, and when they’re out, that’s it for the day. We made the mistake of coming back the next day only to find they had already closed up, leaving us disappointed that we couldn’t enjoy it one last time before heading back to the mainland. If I had one small suggestion, it would be an elevated, covered platform for the picnic tables to take advantage of the ocean views. Then again, maybe it’s best they don’t—because if word gets out any more, the lines will be even longer, and they’ll sell out even faster!

Amazing! Would definitely come again! Easily the best bbq we’ve had! Recommend the huli combo for variety - it fed two of us.

It was a pit stop on the side of the road. We had the brisket, chicken & ribs! It was absolutely amazing!!!! We got a side of Mac & cheese since you can't substitute and it was well worth it! Will likely eat there again before heading back to the states!

Randy's huli chicken is the best! Barbecued just right, so moist and tender, perfect seasonings. I got the combo plate for 22. It was a large piece of chicken, two generous pieces of rib, and some brisket along with a scoop of white rice and some corn. Barbecue sauce is on the side if you care to get some. It all comes in a to-go container but there are picnic tables there. Everything was delicious. I will definitely go back again.

Pork Ribs. Brisket. Wow. I wish we had come here at the start of our trip on Big Island. So good. And this is coming from consuming great Texas BBQ regularly. Advice: come early cuz it sells out fast, especially them tasty ribs!!!

10 stars. The food was amazing, I think the brisket was my favorite. But honestly everything on the combo plate was great. And stunning view from the picnic tables set up at there! Highly highly reccomend

Was a great experience. People were amazing view was awesome. And food was off, the chain would recommend to anyone that wanna make the drive.

Get the huli chicken! It is so moist and delicious. Got the combo plate (22) and loved the ribs and brisket but the large piece of chicken was the standout. The meats were served with a scoop of white rice and corn plus self-service barbecue sauce on the side. Planning to go back again next week. Also got some cornbread and it was delicious.
